Labradorite
Mineral from the silicates group, subgroup of tectosilicates, it is part of the family of plagioclase feldspar. It is a variety of anorthite its chemical formula is (Na, Ca) (Al, Si) 4O8 with traces of Fe, K, H2O. This stone has exceptionally bright and shimmering color effects that are available in all colors of the spectrum. These effects are the result of interference in twin coverslips, they are called "adularescence". Its name is inspired by the place of its first provenance, Labrador in Canada, there are also labradorites in the USA, Russia, France, Ukraine and the most beautiful in Madagascar.
