Very, very slightly Included Minute-inclusions difficult to see using a 10x loupe, but still not visible to the naked eye. This is the highest clarity of colored gemstones.


Very Slightly Included:  Minor- inclusions easier to see using a 10x loupe, but still not visible to the naked eye.


Slightly Included 1: inclusions easily seen using a 10x loupe and noticeable with the naked eye.


Slightly Included 2: inclusions more easily seen with a 10x loupe and quite visible with the naked eye.


Included 1: inclusions are very obvious and have a moderate negative effect on the overall appearance or beauty of the colored gemstone.


Included 2: inclusions are very obvious and they have a severe negative effect on either the overall appearance or durability of the colored gemstone.


A gemstone having the property of transmitting light without serious diffusion / may have rutile or other inclusions.


Allowing light to pass through, but not transparent.


Does not allow light to pass through.

Although these grading conditions are in fact functional, they mainly indicate to the buyer what to expect when viewing a gemstone and do not always make it possible to judge all the qualities of a gemstone. . Indeed, some other attributes of the gem must also be taken into account such as color, shape, size etc ...
